Fabio Palombo

Fabio Palombo, born in 1982 in Lower Saxony, Germany, began with piano and ballet lessons at the age of eight years. After A-levels graduation he completed his ballet training at the John Cranko School in Stuttgart, the state ballet school of the Stuttgart Ballet. His first engagement took him to Deutsche Oper Berlin, in 2003. Under the direction of Sylviane Bayard, he danced in choreographies of Heinz Spoerli, Yourí Vamos, Angelin Preljocaj, and Uwe Scholz. From 2004, he worked as part of the Leipzig Ballet, but also as a soloist in choreographies of e.g. Uwe Scholz, George Balanchine, Mauro Bigonzetti, John Cranko, MacMillan, Glenn Tetley, Marco Goecke, Peter Schaufuss, and Yourí Vamos. Fabio has been working freelance in Berlin since 2012 and he began working with Xenia Wiest in assisting function. Amongst others, he has participated in the ballet "Quinque Viae-Dynamics of Existence", premiere 2013 at the famous club Berghain, Berlin, "live now think later", premiere 2013 at the Kremlin Gala, Stars of the 21st Century, Moscow, and "The Running System", which premiered in 2014 at Annual Gala of the Stars, California. In the same year, he assisted as fashion consultant for the „Vogue“ magazine as part of a photo series regarding the „Berlinale“ – Berlin Int. Film Festival 2014, and worked as ballet master with Sean Suozzi, soloist of the New York City Ballet, for a new creation by Marco Goecke. In 2015, Fabio studied a Pas de Deux from Marco Goecke's ballet "Thin Skin" at the Ballet of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow. Moreover, he was ballet master at this ballet in the context of the new creation "All long dem day" for the "State Ballet School Berlin". In 2016, he studied the piece "Blushing" by Marco Goecke in Hagen, and Fabio was Goecke’s assistant within the creation of his "Nijinski" production at the Theaterhaus Stuttgart. In the spring of 2019, he took over the complete rehearsal of the whole evening performance "Nijinski" for the Ballet Zürich, Switzerland.
