Santiago de Chile, Indianapolis, Dortmund
Demis Volpi created a new solo titled „Spaceman“ for the Ballet in Santiago de Chile. It was worldpremiered on August 29th 2012 at Teatro Municipal and danced by Luis Ortigoza.
Further Volpi staged his award winning Pas de Deux „Little Monsters“ with dancers from ABT fort he Ballet Gala of Indianapolis City Ballet. Indianapolis Business Journal writes: „ABT’s Alexandre Hammoudi and student Veronkia Verterich danced the U.S. premiere of Demis Volpi’s “Little Monsters,” showing that new choreographic life can still be breathed into familiar Elvis Presley songs.“
Further Stuttgart dancer Hyo-Jung Kang will perform another world premiere by Volpi: She will dance the solo „Allure“ at the opening gala of Ballet Dortmund on September 15th and 16th. Also part of those gala will be Friedemann Vogel, dancing „Mopey“ by Marco Goecke.
Last weekend the Stuttgart Principal Vogel was awarded best international dancer and received the„Positano Premia la Danza – Leonide Massine“-prize. At the gala fort his occation in the Italian town Positano he also performed Marco Goecke`s solo „Mopey“.

Premiere in Zagreb on June 8th 2012
Marco Goecke`s "Suite Suite Suite" and Uwe Scholz' "Second Symphony" are being premiered with the Croatian National Ballet. Both pieces were staged by Giovanni Di Palma.

Audition "Tabaluga and the Signs of Time"
Peter Maffay‘s successful rock fairytale Tabaluga is going on tour starting October 12, 2012 with the new production "Tabaluga und die Zeichen der Zeit (Tabaluga and the Signs of Time)" directed by Rufus Beck
We’re looking for the following cast members for our German tour:
Tabaluga:
Female modern and jazz dancer with strong acting skills and outstanding stage presence (maximum height 155 cm).
Time:
Petite, good-looking prima ballerina or female rhythmic gymnast with emphasis on dance en pointe capability; must have acting skills and good stage presence (maximum height 168 cm).
Ensemble dancers (m/f):
Various styles with emphasis on: Modern and jazz dance, free dance, hip hop and breakdance (further skills are welcome such as tricking and acrobatics)
Audition dates:
Berlin: May 21 and 22, 2012
Amsterdam: May 23 and 24, 2012
Rehearsals start: September 10, 2012
Tour period: October 12 – December 20, 2012
We will be performing in 17 cities with 5 to 7 shows per week.
