ROSER MUÑOZ MASSANAS

Born in Barcelona and studied at the Instituto del Teatro, obtaining the Extraordinary End of Career Award. She continued her studies of Classical Dance at the Vaganova School in St. Petersburg. Graduated as a teacher of Classical Dance with the "Diplome d'Etat" from the Conservatoire Supérieur
de Danse de Paris. Superior degree in Pedagogy from the Ministry of Education. Prima Ballerina at the Ballet du Capitol-Toulouse under the direction of Nanette Glushak. Prima Ballerina at Leipziger, Ballet Leipzig (Germany), under the direction of Uwe Scholz.
Ballerina of the National Ballet of Marseille of Roland Petit.
Her repertoire ranges from the main roles of the Classical Repertory, such as: Odette- Odile from Swan Lake, Clara and Sugarplum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Princess Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Diana and Acteon, Swanilda in Coppelia, Giselle in Giselle, The Firebird, Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Tatiana in John Cranko's Eugen Onegin, Who Cares, Sinfonie in C Apollo, George Balanchine's Thenes and Variations,
Sinfonietta by Jiri Kylian, Before Night Falls by Nils Chistie, Vasos Comunicantes by Goyo Montero or Sonate, Die Schöpfung, Pax Questos, Bartok, Dans la Marche, Beethoven 7th Sinfonie, Amerika, Je ne regrette rien, Jeunne Homme, Rachmaninov and Grosse Messe (Obtaining the 1st Prize of the BRD), all choreographies by Uwe Scholz. "Best Ballerina of the Year" in 1999 according to the specialized critics (published in the
magazine Ballet International). Roser has created several choreographies including Jordi Savall's show "Triunfos y
Lágrimas", premiered at the Teatro Principal of Burgos, in 2005. In 2003 she participated in the Spanish Ministry of Culture project "Vasos
Comunicantes" by Goyo Montero, premiered at the Kursaal in San Sebastian. Likewise, she has participated in numerous International Galas and Festivals: United Nations Gala: United We Dance (San Francisco, USA) or the Granada Music Festival,
among others. 2007-Invited Professor at the Institut del Teatre of Barcelona (reprising choreographies by Uwe Scholz), as well as at the Anónima Imperial, the Conservatoire de Toulouse (France) and different schools in Barcelona. 2008-2009 Guest Teacher at the Angel Corella Galas.
2010-Guest teacher with the Leipziger Ballet as well as for the revival of two pieces by Uwe Scholz: Jeune Homme and Beethoven.
Collaborator and guest teacher since 2011 at the International Seminar of Dansa de Brasilia and as a teacher at International Galas.
Official teacher of Uwe Scholz's choreographies, she has restaged his pieces in several dance companies and conservatories: Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, Conservatorio Profesional Fortea Madrid, Leipziger Ballett, Cottbus Ballett, Compañía Nacional de
Danza España, Ballet do Teatro Municipal Rio de Janeiro, Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck, Stuttgarter Ballett, Compañia Nacional de México, Ballet Nacional de Cuba, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal and the Birmingham Royal Ballet.
