CHOREOGRAPHER DEMIS VOLPI AND DANCERS ALESSANDRA FERRI AND HERMAN CORNEJO CREATE NEW WORK FOR INDIANAPOLIS CITY BALLET
On Saturday, November 22 at Clowes Memorial Hall in Indianapolis, USA, three of the most exciting ballet artists from three generations of the artform will premiere a new work as part of the Indianapolis City Ballet’s annual Evening with the Stars ballet gala. Prima Ballerina Assoluta from La Scala Ballet, The Royal Ballet and American Ballet Theatre Alessandra Ferri return from a self-imposed retirement to perform with American Ballet Theatre star Herman Cornejo in Demis Volpi’s (resident choreographer of the Stuttgart Ballet) latest work.

Ballet de Santiago zeigt Demis Volpis Uraufführung "Quasi una fantasia"
Demis Volpi, der 2012 in Chile bereits das preisgekrönte Solo "Spaceman" choreographierte, erarbeitet derzeit seine neueste Choreographie "Quasi una fantasia" mit Marcia Haydess Kompanie in Santiago de Chile. Der Kostümdesigner Thomas Lempertz setzt sich mit der Bedeutung von Haar auseinander, der Choreograph Volpi greift diese Idee auf vielfältige Weise auf und setzt sie zu Henryk Górecki's Streichquartett Nr 2 choreographisch um.

Faust und Taglioni
Die Jury des Deutschen Theaterpreises DER FAUST hat Marco Goecke in der Kategorie "Choreographie" für den deutschen Theaterpreis 2014 nominiert. Außerdem hat die kürzlich erst ins Leben gerufene Malakhov Foundation Goecke für den "Taglioni - European Ballet Award" in der Kategorie "Best Choreographer" vorgeschlagen.
