Light designer

Udo Haberland

Udo Haberland was working as photographer in Berlin until the 1980s. In 1988 he started to work for film- and TV-productions as well as for the state theater in Stuttgart.
As freelance light designer and illumination master he created commissioned works for ballet, dance, opera and spectacle in Europe, in the USA and in Australia. During several years top-class festivals, such as the Salzburger Festspiele, the Wiener Festwochen and the Ludwigsburger Festspiele, also engaged him.
In the event sector he created the light design for brands like Hugo BOSS, Formula 1 and Strenesse. In Film and TV-commercials was working for the Deutsche Telekom, Daimler-Chrysler, Kodak and many more.
Udo Haberland has developed the light design for the following stage productions by Marco Goecke: „Blushing”, „Ickyucky” and „Sweet Sweet Sweet”, „The Rest is Silence”, „Bravo Charlie”, „Alben”, “Whiteout”, “Nichts” and “Supernova”.
