Tadayoshi Kokeguchi
The Franco-Japanese dancer Tadayoshi Kokeguchi was born on July 8, 1982. He achieved his dance education by attending the Rudra-Bejart School in Lausanne from where he graduated in 2004. During his education he mostly danced in pieces by Maurice Bejart, Martha Graham and Carolyn Carlson. Before this time he also studied musicology at the Sorbonne in Paris.
Since 2004 he dances at the Scapino Ballet in Rotterdam in choreographies by Marco Goecke, Ed Wubbe, Georg Reischl, Nanine Linning, Dylan Newcomb, Jerome and Isabelle Chaffaud, Jakko Toivonnen. Besides various performances in the Netherlands, in Israel, Portugal, France, and Italy, he also danced at various galas: in June 2004 in Hamburg (anniversary gala for John Neumeier), February 2006 in Prague, April 2006 in Hanover and also April 2006 in Istanbul. In the same year he was awarded with the Dutch dance prize „Zwaan“ for best dance interpretation in Marco Goeckes choreography „Äffi“. Since summer 2009 he is soloist with Ballet du Lyon.
