Annett Göhre
Annett Göhre was born in 1976 in Halle an der Saale, Germany. From 1986 till 1994 she attended the State Ballet School in Berlin. After interning engagements with the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Städtischen Theatern Chemnitz, she was soloist at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich under Philip Taylor from 2000 to 2005. She danced in choreographies by Jiri Kylian, Robert Cohan, Philip Taylor, Cayetano Soto, Jennifer Hanna, Olga Cobos/Peter Mika and Birgit Scherzer. At the Ballet Theater Munich she developed own choreographic works, just like before in Chemnitz. One of her pieces, the solo „Duett“, won the third place award for choreography at the 6th International Solo-Dance-Theater Festival in 2002. In the same year she achieved the Bayrischen Kunstförderpreis as dancer and choreographer.
In the season 2002/2003 her piece „Kleinigkeiten“ was assumed to the repertoire of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz and in the season 2005/2006 the production „Liebes-Skat“ entered the repertoire of the Ballet Theater Munich.
Since September 2005 Annett Göhre is working as freelance chorographer. Together with her colleague Cayetano Soto she created the feature-length choreography „A New Midsummernightsdream“ for the ballet of the Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater Schwerin. This production was invited to the International Shakespeare Festival in Santa Susanna, Spain, in summer 2006.
In the following season she created „Happy End“, again for the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz, and the trio „Kleine Liebe und Tomaten“ for the Ballet Kiel, in 2007 the choreography for the musical “Jekyll and Gyde” at the Saarländisches Staatstheater Saarbrücken, in 2008 “Servus” at the Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck. In 2009 she created for Gautier Dance in Stuttgart as well as a full dance evening “Lamenti about Love and Death” with Ballet Schindowski and the opera “Neither”.
With her short-movie “7a.m.” she has won the second price at the Choreographic Captures competition in 2010.
