After Marco Goecke’s choreography „Supernova“ from 2009 was reaching out to the stars, in his new creation „Hello Earth“ our terrestrial world seems to be observed from space. And some phrases Goecke told his dancers during the rehearsals reach our ears like fragments from out there: The world is a trial. Try to run away with your arms. Like turning a page. Live and die. Just tea and concentration. How would you give up? It’s just us here. Exaggerate that, it has to hurt. Hold the hand as if you feel the pulse. Up here you are busy with something in your head and down there life goes on. The answer is not in words. You are an alien. I do what I want to. Columbia, back on earth! Maybe when the first couple comes, the heart breaks. There is no second cast for your life. The question is where do you go? You should not look insecure. A sad Persian carpet. In that cuteness, can you look a bit evil? Like a dangerously snapping turtle. The end is important. As big and as free as you can. It is all just one second in space.
