Marco Goecke has started his rehearsals for "Nijinski"
It will be the second time that Marco Goecke – incidentally the award winner 2006 of the Prix Nijinsky in the category „Upcoming Choreographer“ – focuses on the arguably most fascinating and complex personality of dance history. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Les Ballets Russes in 2009 he created his own version of Michel Fokine's pas de deux Le spectre de la rose which triggered the Nijinski craze. Now Goecke is set to explore the cosmos Nijinski in an ambitious, full-length choreography. Theaterhaus Stuttgart is happy that he will embark on the journey together with the dancers of Gauthier Dance. A most promising combination bound to produce – artistic high voltage.
