DANCE by Marco Goecke and Lukáš Timulak. Music by Ludwig van Beethoven.

An evening of dance in the spirit of Beethoven, created especially for The Göteborg Ballet by two young international choreographers. The symphony part has been choreographed by Lukáš Timulak (dancer at NDT). The music is performed by The Göteborg Opera Orchestra, conducted by Eri Klas. Marco Goecke created the choreography for 32 Variations in C minor and Piano Sonata no 8 in C minor (Pathétique). The piano passage is performed live by world-famous Swedish pianist Roland Pöntinen. Beethoven has been interpreted in a wide variety of manners and now his music is expressed in yet another way by The Göteborg Ballet.
