German-Slovakian Katarina Trinkewitzova was born in Bratislava (Slovakia) in 1980. After she finished her competitive sports career, Katarina was engaged by the Modern Dance Company „Bralen“. With this company she danced for three years, performed in several European countries and created her first choreographies for „Bralen“.
At the Stage School of Music, Dance and Drama in Hamburg she obtained her dancing, singing and acting education and graduated with the diploma for stage performance. During her studies she realized diverse choreographies, most of them staged at the St. Pauli Theater and at the Altonaer Theater in Hamburg. So far she was engaged as choreographer for several artistic projects such as „Chin up Johannes“ at the St. Johannis church in Hamburg, „SPEED“, the graduation project of the Stage Schools’ third year fellows at the Altonaer Theater, „German Dance Award“ at the Imperial Theater or „Gods’ Son and Devils’ Force“ at the Christuskirche. With her choreography „Strange“ Katarina elated the German TV audience of the VIVA TV talent competition „Weck’ den Heinz in Dir“ and made her win the competition by voting for her.

By passing the entrance examinations of the art academy of Bratislava she gained one of the two eligible college places for choreography. During these five years she studied Modern Dance (Graham, Limon, Horton), ballet, contemporary, historical dances, folk dances, Flamenco and others, and she took the opportunity of realizing several choreographies and so to develop her own style. In 2006 she graduated with „Magister of Arts/Choreography“.
